Out in the real world, we all have hobbies and interests in addition to the work we may be most known for. Here at Renderosity, our vendors have their own stories to tell. Things they do away from their products... special projects, awards, citations, or things of interest that most may not know about.
In an effort to better introduce our vendors to the rest of the community, we've asked them to tell us more about themselves, and share their stories. Rather than a straightforward interview, these are their stories, in their own words.
This week, we find out all about artist and vendor, Peggy Oelrich, better known to the community as P3D-Art.

Hereby a little sneak peek behind the scenes of P3D-Art. But, of course, with the excuse I always use: forgive my bad English .. I am just a simple Dutch girl ;)
To begin with, I have always been around creativity, in all kinds of stuff, and since I liked fashion as a teenager, I decided to go to fashion school. Loved this time: designing my own clothing lines, organizing fashion shows and making promotional items for it. During the last year at this school, the computer was introduced and the new me was born. After school, I took courses in my spare time, like web designer and desktop publisher. I have been a graphic designer ever since, and especially Photoshop is my kind of thing ...
I am still very proud there's been stuff of mine published over the years. As a starter, when a little drawing by me was printed in a traditional version book from where I grew up being ten years young. I have also drawn a picture for a coloring contest when I was a kid. Pretty cool to see your own drawing colored in by kids and they can win a prize with it ...
As for my digital art, I have been published in 3D Artists magazine as a featured 3D-artist. Also, Photoshop magazine has contacted me because of their first issue about Photoshop meets 3D-programs and how they work well together. Since I am just as addicted to Photoshop as I am to Poser, an interview and 3 pieces of my art had been published in that issue. Since I wasn't able to buy those in the Netherlands, they had sent me an issue to keep. Proud as I can be, they are still showcased at my home-office ...
Now, before I sound too braggy .. I will finaly introduce myself as Peggy (yep ... love to be creative with words as well).
After a long and lonely life (aww), I met my Don in 2004 and this year is our 10th anniversary together :) We married August 5th, 2008 on my birthday. Two years earlier in 2006, we bought a stable together. Yep .. a real horses stable! We have re-built it to the special place we call home. A lot of blood, sweat and tears... but very proud we now have a place that's all how we wanted, from scratch! In this journey, Don is always the handy-man and I am the designer, painter and decorator. We share our home with our two cats Sammy and Daisy. Sammy loves to play hide-and-seek behind the shower curtain, and Daisy eats all she can catch out of the air, and they both always keep me company while I am working ...

I started working in the virtual 3D-world in 2007. This journey brought me to Poser and Renderosity. Those two got me addicted and opened my new world as a digital artist. The art gallery was the starter, but I wanted more out of it than just creating art. Nervously, I submitted my first expansion product in 2009. I did a happy dance that it was accepted and I actually sold some ...
Working as a full-time vendor at Renderosity still keeps the fire of my creative mind burning. I love to create hair and outfit expansions, which, for me, still is a challenge because I many times try to add something extra and always learn to improve. Ambitious as I am, I recently started to learn modeling in my (rare) spare time.
I am very thankfull for all the support I get from my customers, art-lovers and co-vendors with each product I release AND each piece of art that I submit to the gallery. I have met many fabulous people and great teachers over the years, from all over the world ... And my motto always will be: "created with love - for you to enjoy!"
Hugs & Smiles
Peggy
