Do you know if it will run on XP? So far I've not been able to upgrade.

Recommended:
• Operating System: Windows Vista or newer. Mac OS X 10.5 or newer. (32-bits or
64-bits for either platform.)
• CPU: Pentium D or newer (or equivalent such as AMD Athlon 64 X2 or newer)
with optional multithreading or hyperthreading capabilities.
• 6 GB recommended. (ZBrush 4 is a 32-bit application, but can use up to 4 GB of
system RAM.)
• Disk Space: 750 MB for ZBrush, plus 16 GB for the scratch disk.
• Pen tablet: Wacom or Wacom compatible.

Computers are quite cheap at the moment. Looking to buy a laptop in August. Of course, if money is tight, cheap doesn't help.

At some point I was interested in ZBrush for it seemed to be the ultimate sculpting software, but now I am shocked.I  read a rant about ZBrush, and I would like to know , if you agrree. The major part of this rant is not about what ZBrush does, it is more about that UI. Better read yourself. !!! (language, nudity warning) !!! ;-)

I think I know exactly some of the experiences he's describing, but, after a while, I just remembered how to do the things that I wanted to do.

People rant about all 3D software, that's just human nature. He is omitting the fact that we can highly customize and configure the ZBrush interface so it looks like what we are used to in other programs.

He is right about ZBrush being hard to learn, but that's simply because ZBrush is a huge program and does a staggering amount of stuff. The upside is that upgrades are very regular and are free for life, and that for me was the decider in buying it. ZBrush isn't perfect and as someone else suggested, it would be good if they gave a future upgrade with just interface improvements and bug fixes.
