Hey guys (and ladies) - I thought I'd start a thread for those out there to share what they are working on with the rest of the community, all in one place, for whatever aspect of Poser it might be, so we can all get a glimpse and give you feedback and encouragement.

So if it's Poser related, and you aren't too shy to talk about it, and you haven't already created your own thread on it yet, feel free to post it here so we can all rip it to shreds and make you feel like life would be much easier working at McDonalds

(that's a joke guys, relax, and be nice)

This is an attempt to generate more friendly discourse and sense of community around here.

And of course this is for content, not rendering. We could do another thread for rendering WIPs if there's an interest in that.

Content for ANY figure is welcome to be discussed, as long as it is a Poser figure.

Props, scenery, scripts, whatever you want to share with us. (well, none of that adult rated stuff, and lets keep nudity out of it unless absolutely necessary, but everything else is fine, if it's Poser)

Just be polite, and remember to make sure your images are within ToS. (If you're not sure, just PM me and ask before you post).

So, let's see what's keeping you busy!

~Shane

Hm.  Lessee- I have an entry for the Rendo Contest working (Can't share, of course), I have a poster for a Halloween contest at another forum working.  I'm working on two outfits for M4 and Anastasia, a few character OC's, a book cover for a friend of mine...

It's early, I can't remember the rest?

Here's one I'd been working on. It's been on the back burner for a while. I thought it was good but I've gotten nonspecific mixed reviews. Of course it's dynamic hair, because that's all I know how to make.

I am working on a Ghost Rider figure and bike. But there are two threads on it already. One in here and the other in the Wings forum. I am collaborating with seachnasaigh, whom is doing IDL emitters to emulate the flames on his head and on the bike itself.

Come to think of it, I was going to go to a wifi spot and send him the files. I guess that will have to wait a day or two more... real life got in the way.

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

I really like the look you got with that hair. But it looks like it might be a RAM hog on simulation...

Nice work, Phil. Is that your own figure?

@RedPhantom: We could always use more dynamic hair. It's a skill that is rare to find in Poser-verse, so don't let the nay-say guys discourage you. Keep it up, it's already looking quite nice.

@rokket: - I've seen your bike. Pretty cool looking. Your modeling is getting better and better and starting to show some real character.

Let's see those outfits Darwin. M4 needs more support.

Outer ring buildings for the Tink's Cafe' neighborhood;  in the outer ring, I'm stingy with polygons, these are background use only.  This is the *Kanyon* (shopping mall).  I've modeled it with the back side visible from the cafe', because it would cost much more in system resources to do the front with a populated parking lot and lots of window displays.

It has three roadway tunnels;  they'll help to block views to the horizon.  Some IDL leakage near the entry of the tunnels (oops);  probably not worth fussing over for a back-of-the-background prop.  The doors need to be more visible.  Maybe a cracked ice sort of glass texture.

Another outer ring building, the local medical center, is giving me fits.

Only my opinion, not seeing the settings, but maybe the hair count is a bit high. The hair drapes well, but seems to blur at the ends. I'm guessing it's either the hair count or render settings. Otherwise, very nice hair. I do like how it drapes. My dynamic hair experiments have been confined to fur mostly because getting good hair out of Poser is hard. :)

I was going to celebrate Scotland's independence.  It failed, but I made the GIF anyway, with drab thrifty expressions instead of smiles.

Note the cheeky version of Lady Danbo.  Simple trick: displacement map with animated displacement.  No actual morphs needed.

For along time now I've been working on a full-length movie in Poser, Evidence of a Lost City...but I am trying to find its own particular look, a highly stylized animation. This is one experimental image...with both the woman (not one of your sweet young V4s, youll notice) and the background moving...

What size is the texture map on this, Earl? I think it might be the sown pattern (white thread), but in the relatively small jpg you posted, it really looks like tiling. Maybe a decent bump map to raise up the thread?

Nice work, by the way. The shorts look great.

Thanks. The texture map size is 2048 x 2048. Although, I think I'm probably going with the darker color for both the jacket and the shorts.

i'm working on ears for dragon3.
dragonish wings for dragons who turn into winged people.
rpg-ish houses that can also work for a space station or christmas village.

finishing up a couple chapters for a novel and rendering chapter ffooffs :)

i'm stuck on a villainous re-name for commander kracken.  Added a tentacle scene at the last minute with kraken and kraken hags.  it doesn't make sense to call commander kracken, kracken with krakens in the series.

Having issues in the Cloth Room- the Dynamics won't go past frame 0 when I calculate the blasted thing for the robe I made.  Really starting to irk me, since this hasn't happened before, and I know that the poly count isn't a high one at all.

Did it in Poser Pro 2010 as well.

Took off the sleeves; no help.  The blasted thing still canceled at frame 0.  I don't know what the heck is going on with it now.

Check the mesh on the robe for intersecting and isolated verts also, and for reversed normals. This will kill a cloth sim quick.
