Subject: RPF TOS in regard to posted imagery?

primorge ( ) posted Wed, 06 May 2015 at 4:02 PM · edited Wed, 27 March 2024 at 9:28 PM

Where can I find the forum guidelines for allowable image content?

primorge ( ) posted Wed, 06 May 2015 at 4:22 PM

Nevermind, found it... although it's vague about the depiction of genitalia. I have an image in mind that depicts a woman leaning over with her nether regions visible, is this inherently a depiction of a sexual nature?

Not as creepy as it sounds, or maybe more so considering what else is going on in the image (which is absolutely non-sexual/non-violent).

Just be forewarned that what is acceptable one day, may not be the next.

The TOS is subject to change based on who is viewing it, and the people reviewing it will do the same.

I have had images deleted from the forums that were in the gallery for years... The TOS states no internal Vulva exposure, and images with no internal exposure were deleted for that.

We all know there are thousands of examples that violate the TOS all over the site.

The difference is what they choose to delete, and what they choose to ignore.

Regardless of the TOS. It is their site, and the will tell you that as well.

According to the pm I got, you get one warning then your done. So I am not posting any more images that might be the last.

It just isn't worth the bullshit you go thru to even post anything that could even be considered to violate the TOS, even if it clearly does not.

What you post is up to you, getting things deleted/warned/and threatened with a ban because someone sees something that is not there does happen.

Been there, done that....

Some things are easy to explain, other things are not........ <- Store ->   <-Freebies->

primorge ( ) posted Wed, 06 May 2015 at 7:40 PM

Ah, Thanks for the heads up shvrdavid... no open vulva in the image, but maybe a winking poop shute... just kidding.

Think I'll risk it and accept the potential consequences. What the heck, don't think I've ever gotten a write-up for indecent imagery here before (not that I'm looking for one, mind you).

primorge ( ) posted Wed, 06 May 2015 at 8:06 PM

On the subject of being banned from the site, what's the truth behind this in an objective sense... what is commonly known about this by folks 'round here?

WandW ( ) posted Wed, 06 May 2015 at 9:18 PM

No below the waist naked cherubs in a Renaissance painting on the wall either; they might be underage.  Someone got suspended for that once...

What? Get out!

Well, I would avoid depicting naked children in any manner, no matter the intent, contemporary history being what it is in relation to such imagery. You think some baroque cherubs would be safe, but better than sorry I guess.

Naked baby animals?

:)

primorge ( ) posted Wed, 06 May 2015 at 10:44 PM

Guess it's kind of a moot point anyway as I've decided to do an insect render of a rebellious sort, sans genitalia... think I'll show OP over at 'Poser Woman Squashes Insect' there's more than one way to depict the small creatures.

what country is renderosity in ?

Renaissance cherubs are in Italy.
cherubs gen's wouldn't be legal in U.S.
have my doubts that Michelangelo's original Sistine Chapel would be legal in the U.S.

last I had a web site if ya had a web site that was considered porn then the host provider would go from $20.00 to 200.00.
ya half to pay ya host provider a lot more for porn sites. so i'm sure renderosity doesn't want to be considered a porn site.
also some host providers will not host a porn site.

They are in Tennessee.

If the Sistine Chapel's art was illegal in the US, they so would be the ceilings and other paintings in many Cathedrals, Basilicas and Churches I've been in here in the US.

Time you Americans took issue with your liberty-taking government and actually did something about it then, isn't it.
Ancient paintings on church ceilings illegal, whatever next, have they ordered a whitewash over it yet?

I'm surprised some govermental clown hasn't ordered excavation of the skeleton of the painter, and charged it with obscenity.

As for that other stuff, I just Googled "Sistine Fresco" and got a whole bunch of paintings, some clothed and some not.  So are you saying that originally they were all nude but someone painted clothes onto some of them?  If that's the case, lol, and whoever did that really needs to get out more!

Not only that, it's vandalism.

I didn't state they were illegal.  In fact they are not.  I live less than 15 minutes drive from one of the oldest Basillica's in the US.  It has hundreds of paintings (including little naked cherubs and a Renaissance type painting of the Madonna holding a naked Christ child in her lap).  No one whitewashed over anything.  In fact, they just spent close to 10 million dollars restoring them.

Interesting. I just decided to refresh my memory of the TOS with regard to my current render. Has a nekkid Vicky -- my first in ages -- but it's a backshot so no visible gens, just bare butt. And side boob. I think that's still okay, isn't it? But she's on her knees making grabby hands at a fully-clothed M4 (minds out of the gutter, those hands are nowhere near anything :cough: sensitive) so it may be questionable. I mean, is it a sexual situation if one character is doing their best come-hither sexy dance and the other is going "WTF? What is it with all these crazy women?" I thought about having him try to peel her off but then it looked like it might imply the opposite or even an assault, so he's just standing there with a very confused look on his face. Poor guy, they just won't take no for an answer.

You'll have to excuse the language here, but to be perfectly honest, my above rant was brought about by something I found out about America which, frankly, makes me feel sick and it's something I just cannot get out of my head ever since I read about it and looked into it.

I see you Americans have reached a point so low, and a tolerance level so pathetic, that you're tollerating your "officials" grabbing homeless people off the streets, locking them up, and treating perfecly innocent homeless people as criminals.  So it's hardly surprising that nothing surprises me about America anymore after finding out about that, nothing, hence my sarcasm about digging-up the original artist in order to prosecute him.  Seriously, you need to get off your asses and stop this incarceration of innocent homeless people RIGHT NOW, cause it's a fucking disgrace to humanity!

Makes my blood boil like you would not believe!

WandW ( ) posted Fri, 08 May 2015 at 6:48 PM · edited Fri, 08 May 2015 at 6:50 PM

While political discussions are indeed against the TOS, I'd suggest cracking open a history book. I'm not sure what your source is, but homeless people once were not tolerated at all in the US; 'Vagrancy' was the charge, and forced labour was often the penalty.

About a third of current homeless have serious mental illness, but it is extremely hard to institutionalize them these days; 60 years ago they would have been simply locked up in an asylum.

Our church helps run a center for homeless families that houses them and gets the kids to thier school until they can get back on their feet.  Our State currently has nearly 2000 families housed in hotels.  If a homeless person is arrested in Massachusetts, it's usually for committing an actual crime, although some towns will pick up repeat panhandlers after a warning, if that's illegal in that town (it's not in ours)...

PS Panhandling is an Americanism for Begging...

And I'd suggest cracking-open a book on human fucking rights!

Those "law-enforcement" bastards are grabbing perfectly innocent homeless off the streets, shoving them into the back of vans and carting them off to be incarcerated until such a time they think they should be allowed to roam free again.  Who the the fuck do they think they are?

Your fucking "authorities" have no right grabbing innocent homeless people off the streets for being homeless, just because they're supposedly doing it in their best interest.  It would be one thing to offer help to them, fair enough, but it's quite another to just take liberties like that, it's fucking outrageous!  I don't care that it doesn't go on everywhere, it shouldn't go on ANYWHERE.  By doing what they're doing, it effectively means that it's a criminal offence to be homeless.  Because if it doesn't, then those pieces of shit law enforcement monkeys need to quit treating them as such - they have no right to do what they're doing.

Criminals get grabbed and carted off in vans to be locked up, not innocent people!

To be honest, I don't know.  I wasn't checking to see if they were or were not.  It's a bit hard to see many of them as they are painted on the ceiling of the main dome (which rises about sixty or so feet above the main transcept).  Next time I got to mass, I'll take a set of binoculars and check.  Then again, maybe not.  Might be viewed as bad form.  Not to mention way to weird to have to explain.

Just so you know, for all of us living outside America, our sources are not censored by your government or media, therefore we know what's going on.

You as citizens are being assfucked, mate.  I'm not having a go at America, I like America and I like Americans.  I'm pointing out to you what's going on because I've seen proof of it, lots of proof of it.  You all need to get this stuff sorted and get plenty of compensation to every innocent those fuckers grabbed from the street.  Read-up on your fucking "FEMA Camps" etc, and be sure to bypass your countries rights-infringing censorship bullshit before you do.  In effect, what you have is a slavery system in place which screws the citizens for as much as possible, and for those that can't survive, they're incarcerated for use as labour slaves, and if they can't survive that, it's FEMA coffin time for ya.  FEMA camps are places filled with innocent citizenz who have been assfucked by the way your country is being run.

Not sure what DMD is suggesting by his image, and frankly, don't care, but if it's against what I pointed out, then he gets the big finger in return.  We're not all spinelss citizens who stand for the censorship levels America does, so be thankful there are still ways to ensure you peeps are made aware of what's really going on.  We onlookers can tell you about it, but whether you Americans have the humanity and deceny to actually DO something about it, is guess, is in the hands of your fellow Americans.

Being the decent bunch you are, I'm sure us onlookers will soon be reading about how the Americans finally got off their asses and sorted this bullshit out, so a major  thumbs-up to you all in advance for doing so :-)

My apologies for bringing it up here, but like I said, it was due to the necessary sarcasm I'd posted, I wanted to give an explanation for it.

The confusion for many who do not live in the US and do not have as much understanding of it tend to confuse the Catholic Church (which is single "entity"), and the branches and twigs of the Tree of Protestantism, and the Ultra-moralistic types that really don't have any stated affiliation but create groups and find ways to get their faces on the news.  The Church can influence but it tends to stay out of limelight.

Ron: yep, that's pretty much what the Bishop would say to me if I used them in the middle of Mass.  Then he'd make me go to confession, give who knows what as penance and then send me off to the gift shop to buy a new set of commemorative photo's of the restored dome.  The price of which goes to support the continued restoration of the Basilica.  He might let me get away with using them between Service but he'd ask.  Oh, well, I'll check the gift shop next time.

Glad to hear it - lol

BTW, was just trawling through some stuff to show.  I'm not going to sit proxy-testing all the heavy stuff in case of censorship, but even these typical YouTube videos should be enought to at least give people a taste of what is going on.  Yes, they're YouTube videos but nevertheless you should not see them as hoaxes, this stuff is all very real.

The fact that these FEMA camps even exist shows that you have no control over anything.  And as for the American citizens having to put up with law enforcement pointing guns at them, well, I think it's about time the citizens started making use of the fact that guns are legal in America, and start blowing the heads off any law-enforcement fucker that points a gun at them, cause I certainly would - self defence brought about by the threat of having a gun pointed at me.  Don't want to get your head blown-off?  Fine, then don't point a fucking gun at me!  The job of a government and law enforcement is to protect the citizens and ensure an acceptable quality of life, not threaten them with guns and ship them off to slavery camps using a trap that makes homelessness illegal.

You guys really are something else, it's fucking mindblowing - SORT IT OUT

BTW, looking at that lot, the plastic coffins, I think it would be wise to possess a gas mask if you live in America (plastic suggests chemical containment).

Get a gas mask for each member of the family and plenty of replacement filters (and don't trust "government issue" anything).  Hate to say it, but whether this shit you tolerate is due to FEMA or chemicals, it's obvious those coffins are there for something on an epic scale.  They exist for a reason, and thankfully they're empty right now, so I suggets you all get off your asses and ensure they stay empty.

They say the human race will eventually wipe itself out, and I've always agreed and said that America will be the ones that manage it.  You're like a bunch of loonatics that need containing for the safety of the rest of the world, and I'm not including all Americans in that statement, I'm refering to what America stands for in the global scheme of things - how you look to other nations.  Never let children play with fireworks, America should read the label cause I for one am sick and tired of reading about this depressing bullshit that comes out of America in a constant fucking stream.

No offense meant, truly, I'm considering your point of view and totally understand your critique, but perhaps a little more world experience would be conducive to your budding ideology.
