Please can somebody advise me where to find information on how to install Blacksmith3D in the correct manner and thereafter how to install updates. When I updated got the message within the program: !Could not validate activation.

First, please make sure that you have extracted all the files from the zip with the "Use Folder Names" checked.  The file path structure (for the files) is very important for the registration to work properly. I usually just extract them to be directly on my D: drive, so that I then have a Blacksmith3d folder for each different version (so I can run old versions or the newest one). 

Then, please make sure that you are putting only the version 6 registration key in the top 'registration' field and nothing in the 'upgrade' field. That should resolve any registration issues, but if you continue to have issues, you will need to send a screenshot of your registration and your operating system details (like mac or windows and what versions) along with info on any anti-virus, anti-spyware or firewall security that you are using to info@blacksmith3d.com.

I have both a windows and a mac. Will I be able to use this with both computers if I purchase the full version or do I have to buy it twice?

Normally, we prefer a license per computer. But, if you are installing on only one extra on one of your own computers with all the same registration info, it should be ok. Please keep in mind that multiple registrations of the same registration license key could cause the license to get locked out.
