I'm getting an error message on loading Blacksmith 6.

Also, I'm having to use the texture transformer in Reality Paint because it doesn't seem to be working in 6---there are no character files in it at all. How do I fix that?

Hello Laura,

You might already did it but just in case, go to menu/help/register and retype your key. Click register and close and open blacksmith again. It should works.

For TT, just go to your previous blacksmith install folder, copy the 3 folders and paste them in your new structure. It will works.

No...tried that. I got another error message...

Hello Laura,

I cannot manage license keys...I will not be able to help you in this particular case. I'm sure you did put the V5 key above and the new 6 one Below, so, if it does not work, the better is to ask Rendo directly to get the right license key. In case, just try to put the new 6 license key directly in the registration box, maybe it could works...

I'm so sorry to not be able to help you ...you are doing such amazing work!

I'm sure you already have, but please first make sure that you have extracted all the files from the zip with the "Use Folder Names" checked.  The file path structure (for the files) is very important for the registration to work properly. I usually just extract them to be directly on my D: drive, so that I then have a Blacksmith3d folder for each different version (so I can run old versions or the newest one). 

Then, please make sure that you are putting only the version 6 registration key in the top 'registration' field and nothing in the 'upgrade' field. That should resolve any registration issues, but if you continue to have issues, you will need to send a screenshot of your registration and your operating system details (like mac or windows and what versions) along with info on any anti-virus, anti-spyware or firewall security that you are using to info@blacksmith3d.com.
