Hi Boni
The most current version is 2.74 and cycles is available in almost all release version back to 2.63 if I am not mistaken. Now on http://www.graphicall.org/ website which host many different and custom builds there is a 2.74.5 but it is not an official Blender.org release. so if you just downloaded from Blender.org than yours is the most current offcial release. Also congradulation on the promotion to Forum Moderator

Thank you Lobo, and thanks for the congrats! It's a fun challenge! ;)
Yes it is a interesting challenge I am learning that quickly myself and yes I did see the post you made in the poser forum so figured I would include all the links to the info you were asking hope they help some and if you search the Blender forum for threads by 3Doutlaw you will find he wrote a few post here that went into a little more detail on his script which I know he mentioned he was not updating forgot the reason why but he did add some helpful tidbits Good Luck

In the Poser forum it says that I need release 2.74a to get Cycles ... I just downloaded Blender a few moments ago, does that automatically mean I have 2.74a? It isn't listed that way on the splash screen.
