Subject: Software for creating block-styled 3d models?

SamTheT ( ) posted Mon, 11 May 2015 at 8:53 AM · edited Fri, 29 March 2024 at 12:20 PM

I was looking for modelling software to create retro-styled 3d models (models that consist of cubes), kind of like Minecraft or CubeWorld models.

Do you guys any software like that? I only found Qubicle, which is simply too expensive to buy for short-term use.

Thanks for the help in advance!

I had no time to actually try out the solution, but people on other forums found two really cool programs : "VoxelShop" and "MagicaVoxel". I think I will use them

The Decimate modifier in Blender can do this.  It will take any polygon mesh and convert it into voxel blocks, with settings for detail and other things.  Very useful for something like that.
