The current Blacksmith3D version is 7.0.6.0 (Free Trial same as unregistered version, so trial users do not need to download and install additional software, simply buy the license and register through the Trial when ready). PLEASE CLICK HERE for additional links to older versions or the TTv2 base packs.
BTW, in the old data files names for the trial and the upgrade also differ, despite they were updated on the same date:

Blacksmith3D was updated on 4/10/15, but the free trial version wasn't properly updated in our database. So, regardless of dates, as long as you are on version 6.1.0.1 you are on the most current version. For Windows users, version 6.1.0.0 should be same as 6.1.0.1, because the minor revision was for a known Mac issue (and as far as we know didn't show in Win).
No, the number scheme for our database doesn't always mean that one file is older than another.. We have 6 products with multiple files on each product (some have 5 files each), and the uploads/updates on each product can be running simultaneously. So, the numbering scheme doesn't necessarily mean that one file is really older than another, especially when the difference in the numbers is only 9. All the updated files were uploaded on the same day, we just didn't mark the free trial with the special "updated" flag. We didn't think that "trial" users would want to keep updating a product that doesn't save or export any of the work. And, marking the free trial as updated now would probably cause even more confusion.
OK, I thought the trial version was the same as the full/upgrade version, just limited if not registered.
Anyway, like I said, none of the file names/numbers changed when the upgrade version was updated 2015-04-10. So if I understand you correctly, at this update you just updated the Mac version without changing the file name/number?
Yes, the free trial does everything the full version does except for saving or exporting. Both the Win and Mac versions were updated to 6.1.0.1 on 4/10/15 and email notices were sent to our B3D email list. The notice explained that the update fixed an issue that as far as we know only affected Mac users, but just because we couldn't duplicate the problem on our version of windows, it doesn't mean that some older window users might not have a problem. But basically, Win users weren't required to update unless they experienced any issues. Please note that we fix issues in either Win or Mac, we automatically also update the other in order to keep their editions on the same versions.

Just compared some some older data from my account with the current ones and noticed that BlackSmith 3D allegedly was updated 2015-04-10. However, neither file names or file links have changed, shouldn't they do that? See screenshot:
