Hello!  I need the very old model "PoserStyle Immortal Outfit". Where can I find this model?

CrystalGames ( ) posted Thu, 23 July 2015 at 8:24 PM

This looks like a very old set from 2003.  The creator website is gone, and the Wayback Machine did not archive the freebies page.

So, my guess is you can't find it anywhere.

Here's an old post at RDNA about the site and the author:  http://forum.runtimedna.com/archive/index.php/t-4932.html

I think I found somewhere that this was a John Malis creation. Maybe I'm wrong but it can't hurt to ask him.

He once had items in all three major shops. His persian at daz is very similar.

Thanks! But where can I find a site or e-mail of John Malis?

seeker ( ) posted Fri, 24 July 2015 at 10:52 AM

I can still see his products in daz. Perhaps a mail there could help.

I could be wrong but I think this page belongs to John Malis.

He used to have a page named posergamers.

I also tracked him in devianart (explicit content)

I hope this helps but if you can't find him the persians in Daz is almost exactly the same outfit I think.

Actually the Poser Style Immortals outfit was modeled by thip  http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.php?userid=5965

I'm not sure if he actually holds the copyright or if it was Poser Style so I don't know if anyone can actually sell it to you now.   John Malis had made texture and prop expansions for it but does not own any rights to the model itself so I doubt he can help you.   I'd begin by messaging thip here at Rosity and see what he has to say.

Thanks! But "thip" does not respond to my messages. Maybe he does not visit the Renderosity site. :-(

I need this model for non-commercial project.

Well the only one who could give or sell you the model is the copyright holder.  This was from a paid subscription site (Poser Style) so I'm pretty sure  re-distribution is not allowed.

PoserUserFromRussia ( ) posted Sun, 09 August 2015 at 3:35 PM

OK! The Poser Style site does not exist. And I do not need a rights to the model. I need the model.

Let me explain.   Only the person who actually made the model has the copyright to it and can distribute it, give it away, sell it, etc.   Anyone who bought it only bought a license to use it.   In the license it specifically states that you cannot re-distribute it.   So, you have to find the person who made it to give it or sell it to you now that the site doesn't exist anymore.  No one else can give it to you legally.

It's very sad, if the site is closed, and the author does not makes contact. :-(

I very much hope, that the author does not consider me as a support for US sanctions against Russia. :-)

I have the license, but I accidentally deleted the model. Where can I find the model?

Its gone. Thip made it, and left poser a long long time ago. I think you are pretty much out of luck. There's a few old timers like me who might still have copies of it, but we can't give it out legally.

However .. this very similar set for Michael 4 is still up at DAZ. And its a newer, higher resolution model for a newer figure. I'd say go get that one :)

Thank you! I found the model geometry by thip. The question is closed.

I looked at the design of clothing on your link to Daz. This is a parody to the clothes from Russia. Such clothing is suitable for the clown in the circus. :-)
