A Message Regarding Our Trick or Treat Event

To all Renderosity members, I speak for the entire Renderosity staff when I say that we are all very sorry for the problems and confusion yesterday around the launch of our Trick or Treat event. I would like to take this opportunity to explain the problem and offer a solution that is beneficial to you. Our servers simply could not handle the load that was generated by the overwhelming interest in the free items in the Marketplace. We introduced a minimum $5 check-out amount as a short term fix to relieve the load on the servers. This did resolve the technical issues and gave us time to come up with a better solution. We have determined the best solution is to shift the current Free items to a page where everyone can download without impacting the Marketplace and server performance. So, the Trick or Treat page will be like the Annual Holiday Give Away. In addition, those of you that made a $5 minimum purchase in order to get the free items, we are offering you a $5 gift certificate. Please email store@renderosity.com to claim your certificate. We have seen the demand for providing free items to buyers in the Marketplace. We will be working with the vendors to introduce this over time. Again, I would like to sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience, and we hope you will all enjoy the Free items.
