I was examining all sorts of photos to get it right. As for the one when I released the Boris face pose, that was actually the one at VP, just in a very early stage of modeling. In fact, for the first tests, I simply "decapitated" a Dalek and stuck Mike 2 in the skirt section. I was rather stumped until I purchased UV Mapper Pro. That solved 99% of the saurfacing issues.
