Script Manager P12 update V1.0.5 Released!

 

This week I have released an important quality-of-life update for the “Script Manager P12”. If you haven’t seen it yet, this is a script launcher with a built-in script uninstaller - the first one ever made for Poser (AFAIK). It auto-detects installed scripts and dynamically builds a launcher pad for them, taking advantage of the latest features in Poser 12. It supports scripts with single or multiple parts. Left-click launches the script, and Right-click uninstalls it from Poser (clean uninstall).

Update v1.0.5 now brings the following quality-of-life improvements:

  • New scroller list interface. If the buttons don’t fit in the panel, a scroll bar appears on the right side, so the panel doesn’t need to be resized, and the bottom buttons stay visible at all times.
  • Added auto-docking toggle button. This allows disabling the panel auto-docking, so you can drag it over Poser with or without auto-docking.
  • The panel persists when switching between Poser Rooms. This is possible thanks to a new feature I have requested Bondware that makes this possible in Python.
  • Support for high-DPI monitors with pixel scaling. 

I believe these additions improve the tool’s general usability. Existing users should have received an e-mail notification from Renderosity. To get the update, first remove the existing version to avoid file duplications and versioning conflicts, and then reinstall the script from the store.

You can use the script itself to self-uninstall. You might get an error when closing the script, claiming it couldn’t save its configuration settings, which is perfectly fine. After reinstalling, you will get all the improvements.

Any idea when this will be available in our accounts?  As mine doesn't show any update available and only 1.03 for download?

Wow, I was sure it was already updated. I've just checked it now and indeed, Rendo didn't updated the file. I have sent them the update last month and asked them to do it, and from my part, that's that's all I can do, since vendors cannot update the files ourselves. We trust they would, but this time they didn't. 

Thanks for letting me know. I will ask them to do it again.

Ok, I have talked to Rendo, and looks like they have missed the update notification last month. They had it fixed now. Current owners should receive an email notification about the update with instructions on how to install it (removing the previous version first). I have submitted that email notification last month, but it's only being sent now.
