Product Notes

This UV Set for the Genesis 3 Female Genitalia will enable you to use the G3F genital geograft with G3F characters which do not include a separate genital texture (for example, the default G3F Jeane texture). It derives the texture from the torso texture as previous generations of Genesis have done.

This UV Set is for the Genesis 3 Base Female.

There are no user-facing files. The UV Set is to be found in the Surfaces tab for the Genitalia. See the ReadMe file for full instructions.

NEW NOTE (June 2017): This UV Set can also be used on Genesis 8 Female, because the UVs are identical. Simply rename the "Genesis 3" folder as "Genesis 8" and install it as instructed in the ReadMe.

This product can also be used with Genesis 8.1 Female (released January 2021). Note: because there is no "Torso" surface on Genesis 8.1 you must copy the MAT from the "Body" surface instead.

_**spetsnaznr1**_, you must own the genitalia geograft (Anatomical Elements) which is only available with one of the Pro Bundles. When you load it onto Genesis 3 (or 8) you can find the surface under the Surfaces tab in DAZ Studio.

3. Copy the Torso surface for G3F by right-clicking it in the Surfaces tab and then paste it onto the Genitalia surface. Where can i find Genatalia surface?I dont find it.

Ahh so you have to apply !Iray Uber Base shader to the Genesis 3 Female Genitalia before you copy and paste the torso texture then set it to your UV did not know Genesis 3 Female Genitalia was not already set to Iray

Cayman, thank you a lot for your tip. I have put in place two folder structures on my computer where my DAZ 3D resources reside; one on my C: and one on my E: drive. At first, I copied your files into the corresponding subfolder on the E: driver. After I have read your tip, I copied the files also onto the C: drive. And not it works perfectly! (Don't know why this resource doesn't work in the other folder structure; I haven't had this problem with other third-party resources yet. Anyway, now it works.)

DM1975, you must have installed the folders in the wrong place. You need to merge the "data" folder in the zip file with the "data" folder in "..DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library", wherever that is located on your computer. So, for Genesis 3 the UV file should be at: "..DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 3\Female Genitalia\UV Sets\Cayman\Torso UVs\Base Female Torso UVs.dsf". I have also sent you a Sitemail.

Hi... thank you a lot for the product, Cayman! However, I have troubles to change the UV Set for the Genitalia. Under Surfaces/Genesis 3 Female Genitals/UV Set it says "Default UVs", and DAZ 3D does not offer me to select another UV Set.

Nick, this usually happens if the shader on the geograft is not the same as the shader on the torso. You must apply the correct shader to the gens before copying the texture from the torso. This is explained in the readme. If you still have problems send me a sitemail.

**Brockton**, the Parent folder is whichever folder is immediately above the "data" folder within your DAZ folder set-up. Usually it's "My Library", or something similar. So the data folder will merge with the pre-existing data folder.

I'm stupid but where exactly am I supposed to place the files? I can't find any named "Parent" anywhere. Should I place it in "My DAZ 3D Library", or elsewhere?

Thank you very much. This is extremely useful. I actually prefer this to using the "correct" maps for V7. The normal genital maps have a hi-res bump map, that looks weird. No normal map either. Your UVs fix both issues.

Can't get this to work, but I'm sure it's not this product at fault. The geograft has different nodes than the V7 torso material, so pasting the material from one to the other doesn't work - this is not the first time I've encountered this. I've even tried applying the DAZ Iray Uber Base to the geograft and nothing changes - still the same incompatible nodes. Basically, DAZ doesn't really want anyone using genitalia, I think ;).

**CajunBeauty**, this is a UV set for the DAZ Anatomical Elements geograft which is sold with the Pro Packs. It simply enables the genital area of the Torso texture to be shown on the geograft. I suppose you could use it to gauge the precise position of the genitalia on G3F and so help with the texture creation, but you cannot include this product with a character you might sell, and it wouldn't really make much sense to do it anyway.

**chuntuk**, most G3F characters use the Base Female UVs. Other UVs are usually restricted to the original character with the "7" after it, and those have their own special genital textures in any case, so the Torso UVs would be unnecessary. There may be a handful of others which might benefit from this - but the numbers are very small in comparison to the hundreds which use the Base Female UVs. For that reason it is unlikely that I will do any more of these.

If you have trouble applying the figure texture, try applying the Iray Uber Base (Shader Presets -> Iray -> DAZ Uber -> !Iray Uber Base) to the geograft genitalia surface first. Then copy the torso surface from G3F and paste it onto the genitalia surface of the geograft.

**gobSIDES**, this is a UV Set for the Genitalia geograft which only comes with one of the G3F Pro Bundles (like Victoria 7 or Lilith 7) sold at DAZ. If you do not have this then this product will not work. If you do have it, and you have installed the files correctly you should see the UV Set "Base Female Torso UVs" available for you to pick under the Surfaces tab for the Genitalia. This UV Set will only work correctly and align the textures for G3F characters with the "Base Female" UV (so not for Victoria 7 herself). I have also sent this response to you as a Sitemail.
