Hi Guys...
I'm RGUS, a 3D artist from New Zealand hence the Kiwi Avatar.
I've been using Poser since 2004 and recently begun to use DAZ Studio.
Originally I used the render engines bundled with the base software and it was not until Octane was available did I change engines. I believe iRAY, now supplied with DAZ Studio, does a very good job. However, my development has stayed with Octane since I use both Poser and Studio with Octane for each as the main render engine.
Enjoy!

Most excellent work on this piece! That ship looks fantastic and the atmosphere here is very beautiful! I think there might be a big debate with that question, Deane. I prefer Vue as it does everything I need it to and the interface just makes sense to me. Others will say Bryce...then Terragen and Mojoworld will come up, then someone will argue Worldbuilder is the best. Try the Vue 5 Infinite demo and see for yourself if it suits your needs! Excellent work on this!!

Well I think you have done a wonderful job here!!! Do you even need Vue when you can achieve this??? Very atmospheric and excellent work! V

I agree with Jen. I'd be scared half to death, attempting any other software and being frank, Uwe Mattern seems to do pretty well within Poser, although the water maybe easier with a plugin! lol Gorgeous work Deane. Well done Sir! Steve :o)

Magnificent image Deane! The storm clouds in the bckgd almost look like the aftermath of a sea battle (like the opening scenes of movie "Pirates of the Caribbean"). The blood red and deep blue of the sea is excellent - as is the backlight ship & highlighted sails. Well done (applause!)
