Good composition, nice shadows on the ground from the plane. Though they would prolly all be going in the same direction..check the one on our left, it's going in the opposite direction from the others. The underbelly of the plane, esp that round thingy on our left would be darker. The house seems to be floating a bit, could add a shadow there as well. Maybe even a shadow on the front of the house if the sun direction matches the shadows on the ground, it would be in the shade a bit more. The distance in your photo is really nice!! Could be a shade darker in the mid ground to seperate from the foreground. The tail of the plane is nearly the same color so tends to go poof. To help me with light direction, I just draw a round mark with lines showing which way on a different layer and keep it there to help me find where the shadows go. Lovely scene. I like it! Thanks for letting me getting carried away :-)

Thanks, good points on the shadows and tail section. I like your idea of shadow markings, have to try it out.

nice work... perhaps Some depth between plane and cabin could be more established. I agree shadows and some atmosphere would help with that. I think not cutting of part of the planes wings would help in over all composition.

Thanks for the comments, I agree with the depth between plane and cabin, the wings are visible in the full picture this one is partly cropped.

One thing that really spoils this excellent picture is my hut. The hut's perspective doesn't fit the rest of the scene. You will find that the fault lies with the Poser camera 'focal' length setting, because I used to have this problem with Cinema studio cameras. The wrong focal length + wrong camera position can screw up perspective, giving the weird effect of different models having their own individual perspective. You need to change the camera value to a longer focal length which will have the effect of decreasing perspective angles, and because you change the focal length you may have to move the camera backwards or forwards, and maybe left or right to get an overall balance. This takes a lot of practice, but well worth the extra effort. And believe me, it works.

Thanks for the info on focal lengths, didn't think of tha, still working on pic, trying to make the small tractor used to move the planes.

The composition and idea is nice. I think just moving the cabin and bit, towards the rear of the camera and adding some shadows, would give it more depth other wise, its a great scene.

A small thing, in addition to all the above: the pilot's size seems a bit large to me. Also, I hope you do find a more modern pilot. Somehow, a WWI pilot doesn't seem appropriate. (grin)
