Description

First image in my Icons of Art series. Some books, a gilded globe, plus a Frans Hals postcard. Still Life art has always made use of iconography. Here is Rimbaud: French symbolist poet, Paul Rand: 1960's designer of corporate logos (IBM, GE, etc.), and M.C. Escher. Frans Hals is a Dutch artist from the time of Rembrandt. Three point lighting, and ambient occlusion. C5 beta. Thanks for looking and comments welcome

Interesting series. Oil on wood, oil on copper, oil on canvas. The bottom book rather intriguingly floats off the ground, doubtless cunningly adding projection and depth....

I like the series. really shows off your skill making a drab pile of books into an interesting image.

Great positioning of objects and that textured wall really nice, also i like the light source makes the series very beautifull.
