Description

Just having some fun with a new purchase, Fawne of the Wastelands. The name of the pic "Listen, do you smell something?" is my favourite line from the movie Ghost Busters, delived by Dan Acroid in the library scene. Fawne_Wasteland Chronicles Complete = skin texture, face morph, gun + holster and cloths by orion1167 and xv3d LQ Lavish Length Hair = by rax and anicode Evertying else from SF Sets 1&2 by myself and yesitis3 All 20 hours of this render were done in Poser 6 FireFly, no postwork, why did it take so long to render...No idea! There are no reflections or such, All I can guess is that the 2 point lights I am using are casting raytraced shadows through several layers of "glass" in the 2 tubes and taht is causing alot of trace time for the calculations. With out the tubes the pic renders in about 35 min! But doesn't have the same effect. Her shadow on the back wall distorted by the glass to me makes the pic.

Ahhhh the problem with getting things to render fast in Poser 6. Seems to be a common problem. I have found that if I use Raytracing option in P6, it just takes alot longer than it did in P5. Also, there are more options to choose from and the more options, the more time. lol. I havent exactly figured out which options to use and which not. I really hate using Raytracing in P6, so only use it if I absolutely have to. 20 hours does seem a bit excessive though. lol. Excellent work Mike !! She is a great looking character !!! Love your sci fi props. Have you seen Axeye's Sci Fi backgrounds. Super cool. In fact, my latest image was done using one of them. Beautiful stuff he is making. Adds enormous dimension to any image with no polygons etc to increase render time. lol. Come on by and take a peek at it. You will be impressed by his background. ( my part of it was fairly minimal ). HUGSSSSSSS

Excellent image - like the pose and the lighting is great. Can't say I've had a 20 hour render in P6 - not that I would wait that long anyway lol... only thing I know is to turn off raytracing for hair as this can add stacks of time.
