My Christian name is Cheryl hence the big C on all my work. I have always lived in dreams and fantasies now with Poser for the first time I can create them in a way that I enjoy. BIOUp until a few years ago I struggled trying to create pictures in paint and canvas, I tried watercolours, acrylics and oils, and while my landscapes were passable my people were pathetic. I could copy but not create.
Then I was given a secondhand version of Poser 4 and that was as bad, I could do nothing with it either right up to the point where a friend showed me this site and all the things that could be done if you bought the addon bits.
Now maybe a thousand dollars lighter, but very happy I am just beginning to create some of the pictures in my mind, sometimes I give up and storm off unable to create what my mind sees so clearly but for the first time ever I am having success that I can see.
Compared with many here I am a definite novice but with time I hope to steadily improve until one day I am finally happy with the results I create.
My family are not that happy with me for sitting down for hours in front of a computer though, sadly this is a situation where there is a conflict of interest, they used to complain about me vanishing into a good book for days at a time as well. The TV holds no interest for me and while I dont always prefer to live in fantasies I can create most of the time I prefer it to the reality I see on the news.
I can see over time the computer creating more and more people like myself who use it and the internet as a form of escapism that conflicts with those that would rather all colour was washed out of the world leaving it in shades of grey.
