Description
The shuttle Venture approaches the "Arch" at the beginning of the runway where it will be unloaded from the platform carrier and put into position for launch. This can be a lengthy process, especially for eager spectators waiting to see the launch. Keep watching though...
I know several of you have asked for a closer shot of the shuttle and I promise closer shots are coming. All models (save for a couple of small shapes I borrowed from the library) and composition by me using Bryce 6 and Photoshop CS - Thank you for viewing and as always comments questions and critiques are welcome.

Fantastic image! I like the contrast between the upper and lower halves, and the surrounding of such high technology by nature - on a more technical note I'm intrigued by the launch method too...

I can almost feel the crisp morning air filled with the lonely cries of the birds. This is absolutely wonderful - love the combination between the powerful machinery and the almost magical nature scene.
