Thank you very much for the dedi ! As you promised, this shot is impressive ! The focus is perfect, right on the eyes, the shapness is excellent and thanks to the reduced depth of field, the butterfly seems to be coming out of the computer, like Sharky said. That really is an amazing point. In addition, it demonstrates that there is no need to look for the deepest depth of field, provided that the focus is on the eyes ! It is very interesting to see that the added eZINE is essential in the composition: standing at the right side, it balances the composition with the butterfly head that is slightly on the left of the photo. It brings back the average weight of the photo at one-third (on the right) of the photo: "Du grand art" ! I really enjoy this shot and also that it is from today, "UN GRAND MERCI" ! (The second shot is also excellent, with its different point of view)

That's more like it! Great work. I'm not a fan of introducing elements into a photography, so the ezine thingie is more distraction than pleasure for me. But that's just me. Nice dedication it is however!

Joe - critique not required for this one, it's totally brilliant in every aspect. I really want to be able to do shots like this and one day I will (watch this space!!) You have the focus spot on and it really does look almost 3D in it's "jump out of the pciture" feel. I love both shots, but I think you've chosen the right shot for the main image - it's my favourite POV. PS - thanks for all youir valuable feedback on my uploads, I'm really trying to learn from you and others at RR and appreciate the time you take to critique and offer guidance and advice. xx

detail does not get better than this Joe. even see the damaged eye. I am tossing around whether to buy the 180 Sigma macro or not. Canon would be better but it costs as much a 30d or 20d
