Description

I finally found some time (not much) to work on this. So, here it is the last picture of the trilogy "I bring my world with me". For those who didnt see the other ones, please go here so that you can understand this one better and compare the parallels of the 3 pictures: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1425429 http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1427754 In all three pics there are the same basic elements, organized in a similar way: - a) the "emigrant" (gull/vulture/cow), - b) their respective "world" that they bring to the host country (water/desert/grass), symbolizing the lifestyle and traditions that the emigrants take with them... - c) ... with the respective "food" (fish/cow/grass)... - d) ... and the respective pole/cactus/tree, symbolizing the support, the "spine" of the native country - e) the mountain (symbolizing the part in the host country that is hard to reach for the imigrant, but that is desired) - f) the waves (symbolizing the uncertainties in the host country), With these parallels I tried to show that any country seems, at 1st sight, very different from another but, in fact, only the details are different (language, skin color, etc) and the overall and what really matters is very similar (same fears, same desires, same emotions). The story of the cow is a kind of a sub-plot, linking all 3 pics. On the gull picture, the cow appears dead, only the skull is visible. In the vulture picture, the cow is identified as future vulture's food, thus symbolizing a near death. In the last picture, the cow appears healthy and confident but this picture is intentionally left with multiple questions, raised by items without parallel in the first two pics: - Why is the cow's world spherical and not cylindrical, like the others? - Why is it floating, while the others are physically supported by something? - What is the role of the birds, which have no parallel in the first two pics? Is the cow just another emigrant, maybe with different motivations, like the other two pics? Or is the cow dead and this is the cow's heaven? Or can we simply consider death as another kind of emigration?... Think about it... Thanks for watching!

I love it. I would like to see the three displayed as a tryptich, I think it would be intteresting and thought-provoking.

Yes - wow is the word. To me this image, unlike the other two, has an air of optimism or contentment. It probably is still as hard(if not harder) for the cow to reach the 'promised land', but somehow it's OK. The repeated use of circular shapes works not only in terms of composition, but also in a symbolic sense - the circle has no begining or end,and no sharp corners. And the clouds add to the feeling of softness. Well, it may all be in my mind, but thanks for the opportunity to imagin it!

Wow, indeed. It's like something out of a vision. The perspective doesn't match the first two. A couple of suggestions: Maybe sinking the sphere downward a bit, and then rotating the ring of birds into a more ellipitical shape? It's just a thought. Overall it's a wonderous and a fantastic picture! ^__^ V,, Very cool!

Exceptionally cool - I would like it even more though if you could get the lines clouds to have the same rough shape as the waves and dunes of the previous images. Cows are of course heavenly, everyone knows - they make ice cream after all.

Fantastic work, Artur! I can't offer any criticism here but I am really impressed. Not only by the images themselves but also by the thought processes and ideas that underpin them. Great work.

Excellent work, and I admire your use of symbolism in this trilogy. It almost looks like a mixed medium illustration--the clouds almost look painted, the vegetation looks like photos of actual models. It turned out very well. You really make me want to learn to use Vue 6!
