First I gotta say I was sooo thankful to see an image uploaded by you today. Some of the otherstuff that has flooded my inbox lately is 0.o. So thank you! I look forward to your work. So on to the critique. Honestly as far as personal tastes this one doesn't do it for me like the first version (actually two versions back before she was somewhere else). So I will just list what I like and don't really like about it. Floor photos in frames the melting? photo - clock - V4 and pose as well as desk all look real good to me. Those papers floating look good also. The pipes Im so/so on. The wall behind V4 Im ok with as well as the floor but that wall with the pipes - I dont know about that one. The rust on the chair I think I might have gone with a chair that matched the desk instead - though I see the effort at continuity. Sorry for being long winded - I didn't want to leave anything out. I'm sorry I can't tell you 'what' I don't like about certain things - it's just my impression and hopefully with all the comments that evens out in the end.

That looks like it could be an engineering office! Love the concept you have here :) Critique group: The back wall, pattern is a bit too strong, and ends up detracting from the main focus of the image. Toning down the colors, or making the pattern smaller might do the trick. However, as far as scale of the patron is concerned, I kind of like it, it add to the surreality. Perhaps muting the coloring a little would make it just right :) The image has the feel of a friday afternoon in my office.

This image has several great concepts in it. That hanging cloth with the flowers photograph, the frame for it, the rusted papers, the transparent marble table (it looks marble and transparent at the same time, which is remarkable). I wonder what is the meaning behind the so different wallpaper scales... Not clear to me. Funny that the character doesn't seem worried anymore, she seems more like frustrated, given the context where she's in now. This was well achieved, as it fits your text perfectly. The lighting look good to me. Still the watch is there and still the time is running out. I noticed that the feet are no longer buried in the carpet, that's good. By the way, the carpet has a perfect texture+bump.

Here we have a great concept translated in images. Now, there is a relation between lighting and textures that seems to not work suitably for me. Ray-traced shadows provides a good sense of outdoor lighting but sometimes they also bring an oversaturated effect on textures. If this was intentional, its ok then. I cannot make a comparison between the two versions. The previous one was more over the characters state of mind and it worked fine. This is another story, you can see more clearly the protagonism of the feminine figure and of things that she really cares about in contrast with the invasion of other people's stuffs.

She certainly looks overburdened by something. Unfortunately I started reading your description before I looked at the picture, so I may have been influenced by that; her pose and expression still speaks volumes, though.

Interesting, disquieting picture. The strong repetitive patterns, industrial in nature strike a chord of ordered chaos... or rather an ordered that can't be denied, reasoned with or compromised. Totalitarianism. I liked the pictures on the walls, carried over from the last image, they seemed to be openings of optimism. I'm a little worried that the two more peaceful, serene ones are in jeopardy--one has melted (hope draining away?) and the other is on the floor behind her, as if she's left that hope behind her. That leaves only the bridge, as if it is time to cross it now. Of course, none of my interpretation may be even slightly accurate, but thank you for giving me something interpretable!

Thanks folks - very rewarding to get such thoughtful and thought provoking comments, both about technical elements and the feeling & thoughts they evoke. Some specific reactions- jjroland - I think I should try the chair with the desk textures. I had in mind that the industrialization is spreading from left to right towards her, so the chair behind her shouldnt have the same texture as the pipes. I'm also considering less pipes and adding a window, perhaps in the next version if I get around to it. Conniecat - the pattern on the wall is supposed to echo the pipe theme. I dont really want it smaller, but 'graying' it would be better I agree. Rutra- I only changed the pose of her head a little bit compared to previous image. Perhaps that and the scene itself install the feeling of frustration.. anyhow that feeling is the way I wanted it.Wall pattern - smaller on the wall behind her because I wanted less similarity to pipes, hence the smaller size. Bogart137 - as I said, I am struggling with Poser lighting. Perhaps it will be better in the watercolor(s) EnglishBob - At least the image doesnt contradict my word description Kalon - Your interpretation is so close to my intention, its very rewarding. The only partial deviation/question is about the role of the bridge - can symbolize industrial achievements, strength and beauty, connections between places/people which would be otherwise impossible... but also somewhere where people with no hope chose to end their suffering.. Thanks again
