Description

FE (I knowwwww, huh?!?) & PS I can't say I've ever been so bowled over or absorbed by any image I've done...as I've been with this one. To me, it looks like symbols, maybe representing the age of reason, floating above a human form...with the curled ones floating right out the window...lol. It's alternate title should be *Poof..Gone With Rational Thought*...because that's exactly where it led me. But, should M.C. Escher and Edward Gorey have met...I'd suspect *rational* thought would be the very last thing in/on either's mind at all. Yeah, I know...sometimes I just think funny things. But, this one...well...talk about *out of the box*. Hope you enjoy NEARLY as much as I enjoyed torturing the find. I was sucked in by its complexity. Wishes for a peaceful weekend, free from all those pesky, so-called *rational* thoughts that sometimes become necessity in the day-to-dayness. Here's to hours of mindless drifting and the sheer joy of creating..for its own sake. And, always, thanks to each of you for your wonderful comments on previous images. Today, I got THE most incredible gift..and so, I am sharing the following link with all of you. If you haven't previously seen Mina's work...trust me when I tell you that it's chock full of a rare soulfulness..and is always sensory delight. I'm so honored and touched by this ...Thank you, Mina! http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1485123&member Nancy~*

Amazing fractalized surreality! A fave for sure! Are those wristwatches in the middle? Time's decomposition, perhaps, as rationality surrenders.

So I had to go look up Edward Gorey. He really had a thing about Elephants, at least the site I looked at had a boat load of his Elephants. This work of yours is indeed influenced by both Gorey and Escher, almost looks intentional! I love the intricacies of this, the wood cut look, and Ye Gods, I can't stop examining the details .. almost like the body is resting on top of a forest, causing the trees to bend and conform to the body .. and those symbols above, they seem mystical, weighing the body down, yet not. Wow. I gotta stop this or I'll be here all day!!

Superb work with this image! It is indeed surreal, and is quite remarkable in how powerful it is. Seems very symbolic for a digital world---neverending and infinite. The design and the patterning is unique and extremely original..... Brilliant!

Wow!!!!!!! I really have little to add to what others have said so well. This is a work Nancy that is both rare and a true gem. If they had a place to vote for Render of the year, you just got my vote. The rating system only goes to 5, this render deserves 105.

Hands down, this is one of the best fractals I have ever seen. From a distance (that is, in thumbnail form) I thought the design looked like the great hall of some futuristic building. In full view, everything is completely different: The design hasn't changed, yet now I see so much more detail, and it has altered the image a great deal. You hit it spot on with the title, this is definitely a piece with great optical effect that seems to change as I move my eyes. I keep finding details that I missed before. On my favs list as of now. :P I hope my comment made some sort of sense.
