Description

I posted this picture a very long time ago when I first joined Renderosity and was so disappointed when it hardly got any comments, as I was so pleased with it at the time. I was a "new kid on the block" then! So I thought I would post it again and see the response this time! I hope you like it as much as I do! I took it on my holiday in Havana which I absolutely loved. Hope you all have had a good weekend and thank you all so much for all your kind comments on my last upload. Eileen xxx

What a cool and expressive portrait. I like his outfit, the cigar and the reflections on the sunglasses. Excellent shot!!

Magnificent picture. You have obtained an ideal exhibition. The detail level is perfect and the best thing, the proud gesture of the Cuban horseman. A great work.

Fantastic portrait! Quite a snappy dresser. I love the hibiscus on his lapel. An interesting exercise, to repost an old image. Same photo, but you received more comments in the first 30 minutes with this one than you received in 14 months with the original post. (I looked. My little accountant brain just HAS to check these things out!)

Wonderful portrait, as yours consistently are, of the gentleman in the straw hat. It's a wonder Castro lets him dress like that. I like the reflection in the sunglasses. Is that a hibiscus in his lapel? As for your receiving comments, when I first started out in May of 2006, I had a paucity of comments in response to my postings, which I attributed then to my being new on the scene, and now, guess what, despite a continuous posting of pretty good pics, I still receive a bare minimum of comments....plenty of viewings, but hardly any comments. Maybe I'm not pretty enough. Ergo, I've been thinking of quitting and relocating to another photo website.

LOL, Eileen, I remember too my first posts, and how excited I was that someone even noticed! It takes time for people to find you, but when you have some talent, as you do, they come and they look and they leave their thoughts! I adore this photo, the gentleman dressed in his Sunday best, all ready to pose for the tourists! The background also is wonderful, adding to the interest without taking away from the portrait.

Excellent portrait, Eileen! He is so great and funny!!! Some time ago I upload a picture for the second time by mistake! It was so funny to see how the same people changed their point of view! But, after that, it was so hard to decide which one to delete! :)
