Description

This is my entry into the Holiday Contest here on renderosity. Take a look at the results here: Holiday Photo Contest I reworked it slightly, as i just learned about something else in postwork using multiple USM passes to pack more of a punch... but it is basically the same image. So yeah - here it is opened up for comments i suppose - which can be as critical as you like, it is the only way i will improve - and hopefully get 1st place next time around, hehe :) Enjoy! Rich

First of all, fabulous shot! Awesome complementary colors, and you've capture the liquid with real finesse. The only thing I would say is that because you can't see more of the contour of the wine glass, I am reminded more of a pitcher of fruit juice, especially with the oranges. But... otherwise, another shot that shows off your technical expertise! Good luck with the next contest!

Congrats on 6th place. I feel the colours are better in this shot .. guess that is to do with the multiple USM passes ... whatever they are ... looks like I need to do some research, lol. Love the colours and how you captured that splash!

This was well-deserving of the votes although, had I have been online, you would have definitely got my vote too - sorry!! The colours compliment each other brilliantly. The composition is amazing and the motion in the wine is of pro standard - I cannot emphasise how much I think your work is deserving of a commercial contract.
