I thought of a million titles for this! Feast or famine, I suppose. There have been times when an image has been in my folder, ready to post, for months ... all for want of a title. Alternate titles: Only the Beginning 'Twas Ever Thus Nipped in the Bud Rosebud Apricot Glow Potential It's All In There Poised Anticipation Patience, My Dear Bursting Forth Debutante Now watch ... next time I get ready to post an image of a rosebud, I won't be able to think of a thing!

this particularly resembles a lick of flame on a candle. Very beautifully pointed and even as a rose bud, its color is rich and dynamic.

A great bit of off-the-top-of-the-head prose, and spectacular clarity, contrast and color blends in this remarkable macro, Tara. Incidentally, Rosebud was the name of Orson Welles' sleigh in the movie, Citizen Kane.

I can see what it would be like to touch this rose, feel the texture of the leaf catch gently against the tips of my fingers, the velvet softness of the petals themselves and the hoped for promise of the sweet scent.
