Description

Van Saun Bergen County Zoo~ Paramus, NJ Yep another one. Hey it was a productive day. While Frank has a thing about being out at a certain time of day, my thinking is this. The heck with the perfect time of day, any time of day is perfect. I couldn't get the fence to disappear but in the end I really like the overall effect. Frank got the barn doors I got this one. This is a small house of some kind. I was so lost in my fantasy world I didn't take the time to write down or note exactly what it was. This door made me think of the fairy tales I read about when I was young. Something right out of Hans Christian Anderson or Grimm's Fairy tales. I imagined Merlyn behind the doors or the wizard that protected the fairies from E. Hancocks "The Last Fairy" Even the humble beginnings of Dave Oblad's "Chira". This is the kind of place that I could very happy living in. With a roaring fireplace, a cup of hot cocoa to warm you. Yeah....I could live there!

Oh I almost forgot...the post work. The framing is the original in its full size. As I was using a black outline to define the photo I noticed how the branches kind of look like they are growing in between the layers...cool! So I kept it that way.

Let's see the rest of the house to get some scale? Occupied? I love to explore old houses. The stories they could tell.. Bravo and great capture Michelle. Hugs and stuff from Dave :^) Ps. Thanks for the Chira mention. She has her own Gallery here now but I'm still in process of re-rendering most images to post there.

a door so foreign, and yet so familiar, as if I've walked through it before. Pure beauty in age
