well we're back to your fascinating montages of historical faces...I think I even see Mao in there hiding in the upper half...interesting how your 3 women look so similar to your soldiers; the women look like the original suffragettes, then you've got those hands coming out of their hats (real surrealism, Magritte would be proud). And the horse, and that—I don't know what! That joint or muscle-covered joint or maybe it's a piece of a rifle or a hand holding something—it's real Mandi stuff, real and yet imagined (upper right corner). Fascinating combinations, and well done as always. Like the shadows & grid too...

Through his very paleness Mao becomes the center of interest... I like the tile"netting" that holds the composition together. The ambiguity of meaning grows with the discoveries of the hands and "joint" and other surrealistic ( as anahata.c aptly described them) touches.

AKA Mao's nightmare? To be followed by "Real Time" grows out of the barrel of a gun? Love this one.

A salute to the three stern ladies. Give em a hand! The ghost of Mao studies the procession glumly. The cobblestones wil soon be soiled by the sad blue horse. Bones will be replaced...
