Description
Sentinel Rock, the peak on the left, is a granite monolith that is 7,040 feet (2,145m) high. It towers over everything else and is so beautiful. Seeing this was one of my favorite parts of our visit to Yosemite.

I recently read Ansel Adams biography and there are so many mentions of his love for this area. If you haven't read his book I think you would really enjoy reading about the history of this area. I haven't been to Yosemite in years Too many in fact.. thanks for taking me back. You've captured it beautifully.
