Description
Gunfire effect is actually a combination of two props, some awesome shaders I made myself, and a little bit of glow with bullet trail added in postwork. Sometimes, I amaze myself.
This is Shelby Bly, the star of my next graphic novel entitled "Journeys of Shelby Bly". I plan on starting work on the illustrations tonight or tomorrow morning depending on how long it takes me to finish finalizing all the characters needed for Chapter 1.
Shelby Bly is a young and slightly naive archaeology student from the Midwest while her estranged father is a world famous explorer. He promised her that once they met, her life would never be the same and how right he was. Join Shelby on a perilous journey across the world to discover the truth about her father, the past, and her self.
Sound fun? I know I've attempted to do adventure stories like this before but this time I actually have a damn good (and original) story that, honestly, I've surprised myself with. I think you'll enjoy it. I know I'm enjoying it... so much so that I'm working on a sequel already. Damn, I need to slow down.

Outstanding image, and that's an awesome effect for the muzzle flash! As much as I enjoyed your Maia Starfire series, I'm really looking forward to your new one! It's a lot of work putting a series together (although it's FUN work), as I'm finding out trying to do my own series. I'm sure it will be awesome!

Wow, timing is everything I guess: I just ran across this and I had NO idea somebody else here had long-running stories going on! Better late then never, I'm on it. I LOVE a good story! She strikes me as a thinking person's cross between a female "Indiana Jones and Lara Croft. Nice work, ya got me hooked!
