wow is all I have to say lol.. Redwing blackbirds started showing up at my feeders a couple years ago, but have yet to get a good shot of them. This one rocks..

Amazing! You know, I happen to really like Red Winged blackbirds, even though they seem to enjoy yelling territorial warnings at me in those oddly fax-machine voices they have! This is such a perfect shot! Every detail of it is amazing and I love the selective coloring! This is marvelous!

Dear Wendy, red winged blackbirds are one of my favorites to watch, certainly when working to nest and raise a new brood. There is a very, very tiny wetland near here where I can watch them. The males like this one love to strut their stuff and let the others know if someone approaches too closely. The selective color is very effective on this one. This quite a nice image of the beautiful red winged in flight, all colors showing.
