Sekmeth is a very old and powerful egyptian goddess.
She is associated to Bastet, the famous cat woman goddess who protects doctors, children, pregnant women and everything fertile.
When angry she becomes Sekmeth... Her angers are known to be terrible: Sekmeth has power over diseases and natural catastrophies.
My little tribute to the holy angry cat goddess :)
When she is quiet and happy... She is Bastet, simple as that.

What a fantastic composition and expression, Elisabeth. A schizophrenic goddess, which most likely visited Japan lately.:) Amazing piece of mythology. I like it a lot. A fine emotional piece. Good to see your inspiration explode.

Very nicely done. I'm curious as to just what mediums were mixed to achieve it. I'm just guessing but I'd say it took a lot of work. The results are superb.
