Description

End 2012: an asteroid ready to bounce into the Earth ? Not at all ! It is just Phobos quietly orbiting above terraformed Mars in the XXXVth century. Advanced features added to my previous pictures of terraformed Mars planet : detailed Phobos model and redshift effect on the planet surface when coming into night... modelled with Lightwave 9 and rendered in Vue 8.5 Infinite.

This was darned close the summer of 1996! It passed a bit closer to the moon than to the earth. Phew! And it got almost NO mention in the mass media. But after that, NASA set up an asteroid watch (whatever good that will do if we're subject to be hit!). Nice image! Keep up the good work! :-)
