My Name is René, born 03-April-1955
i come from the Grand -Duchy of Luxembourg, and my wife UteBigSmile and me have been living in spain the last 17 years, where we discovered renderosity and the 3d world.
Due to health reasons i lost my job and i got retired early, and last year (2013)we moved back to our Home Country!
............................................
My hobbys are PC,Internet,Pc-Configurations,
reading fantasy,as well as from april of 2008 doing 3drenders. ............................................... As my father bought me only the cheapest of accessories for painting in school(he was maybe not able to afford more expensif stuff.),the other kids were laughing at me,and so i decided that: i will never do art in my life, imagine i was 8 years old. so i managed to build up a "blockade",concerning art until april of 2008. then my wife utebigsmile was behind me and she pushed me to do something instead of playing only my ego shooters and working with photographs, where i was unable to get inspired. I had a copy of poser but i did not came along with the program, then i went to a 3d forum, because i told myself ,there must be more people like me outside in the cyberspace(LOL). Finally i got an offer,Bryce 5.5 for free and Daz-Studio,i tried a week around and little by little i was able to understand the basics. so i upgraded my bryce to version 6 and i got a platinum membership on daz, a lot of freebies and cheap articles,i bought like wild, Now i do have a content of +-500gigs and i carry on . what gave me the most is this feedback from the people here, and also everything well educated, the whole way of getting along with each other, the respect etc... gives me soo much. Update:UteBigSmile is getting better and better,in health and in spirit-lol. She does wonderful graphs as well-but now she is also addicted on DazStudio.3d. And this is it for now, "God" bless you all here the link to my page: renecyberdoc4.uterene.org/

Well any company that nowadays produces something on time, in budget and without issues is something of a miracle in this sloppy modern age eh Doc? Also interesting that you said "Buggers Me" (especially in this company) rather than "Bugs Me" - must be subliminal Doc - LOLOL

Ja, ja Computer und Zubehür machen nur Probleme, die man ohne sie nicht hätte.

A very interesting quad of characters, Rene! Nice use of materials in a fine setting! Very well put together! I have to laugh about printers. I am like you in that I don't think I use one anymore than about once every other year of so, so they wind up getting smeary as you say and not working when you need them. If it weren't for my wife, we wouldn't have a printer at all! LOL! And also, as you say, it is certainly cheaper to guy a new one that buy cartridges for the old one. Our previous piece of junk cost over $60 for all the ink. We bought a new one for $30. Really makes sense doesn't it?
vitachick
Ink cost alot for sure..Know its too late now, but did you try cleaning the ink heads? Like the characters...LOL at Mikeerson about Barbie's Ken..

Great street scene Rene, very well done.

More instructions for the elderly would help ... I bought Madam an iPad, and it took most of the day to sort it out. She thought all she had to do was open it up and enjoy! The shop wasn't much help; all up-to-date with the very latest stuff and no time for anyone who couldn't keep up.

sorry to hear about your printer....HP is not my favorite brand, I like Dell or Gateway better. I have two computers, Gateway and HP and Gateway does much better job , at least for me it did, well done render.

Nice work on this really cool dedication, sorry about your printer Rene

Excellent render! Great set of characters. I seldom use our printer but my husband does a lot of printing for his business. The price of the ink is outrageous, but at least this one has separate cartridges for each color. The one we had before had the red/blue/yellow in one and if the blue ran out you had to buy the whole new cartridge and throw away all the unused ink in the other colors!

Nothing works the way it should anymore Rene... They sell shit and we purchase it knowing something won't be right with the product. Great looking crew here bud! Nice one indeed. In answer to your question about my brother in your comments on my last picture, yes he does live in the stone age. He hasn't seemed to move from the 70's in all these years. Still listens to the classic rock albums we had when we were young, still gets drunk daily and smokes tons of weed... Works like a dog and lives in a house that was originally built as a pig shed (of course he renovated it and totally cleaned it up). And if I were to give him a picture that showed that much emotion he'd call me a girl, or worse...

It's a system Rene...They purposely do this so the buying cycle keeps rolling along...I mean if they actually designed something to last forever then most would go out of business...Just like the auto industry...They design parts specifically to last a certain amount of time so we the consumer have to replace shit that don't need replacing. With todays technology there is no reason why things don't last longer than they are designed for.I hear you on the cost of ink cartridges as I found out that this year when printing out over 100 Christmas cards.....lol...35 bucks for both black and color and you only get roughly (depending on design) 75 cards and I too have an HP....Next year I'm thinking to just creating black and white cards.....rofl! ~smiles~

Wonderful scene and characters, Rene. Did you know you can take rubbing alcohol and soak the printer heads overnight to get the gook off? I have fixed several printers that way. I never buy HP because the ink is so expensive. I have a Brother all-in-one now and the ink cartridges are about $15.00 each. Not too bad.

Nice scene and posing..well done, Rene!!

Sorry about the printer, but at least someone picked it up, and can work on it, and it won't go sit in a land fill somewhere. :-) Thank you, as always for your imagination! I love seeing what you come up with!

Another really cool urban scene, René! Well done as always! I have to agree with you about the so-called "software bloat" so often encountered when you buy a new printer or even computer. I remember a few years ago my dad bought an HP printer, and had a lot of trouble getting it installed. He called me, and I went over and spent about 2 1/2 hours fighting with the software. He finally decided to take it back, and I recommended that he get a Canon printer. It installed in about 20 minutes, and never had a problem. As a matter of fact, when he gave me his computer before he went into the nursing home that printer was still attached. It now lives at my house, and it's still working flawlessly. I do like HP printers, but sometimes it seems like their software is a little clumsy.

Great characters!
