The Xmas Cage is a Christmas freebie I got here on Rendo called Tr_Ornacage. Sadly there was no readme enclosed so I have no idea who the artist is. I re-textured it with a nice metal shader. Take a tip from me and dial down the number of raytrace passes before rendering something similar. The first time I tried rendering it I had raytrace set to 2 and it went 3 hours, was still at 40%, and was using almost 15 GB of my 16 GB of ram. I have to admit that the cage did look better but I had to cancel it :(

This is way cool. I'm not sure about all your settings but that seems like an awfully long time for that to render. It still looks mighty good. Merry Christmas.

The silver bars are VERY reflective. They bounce the light and reflect all of the other bars and the scenery and the character and if you have more than one raytracing pass they also reflect the reflections. More realistic looking but a huge hit on performance :(
