Description

Okay, a teaser really. It's been a long time in the works, and still have a bit to go. And here I thought making a few bows, and some arrows would be a quick easy project. I need to remember that that is seldom, if ever, the case. In this image, however grainy and distant it might be, there are two bows. The Warbow, or English longbow. And the modern longbow. There are also two quivers, though you can't see much of anything of the back quiver. Soon enough though. But there is a back quiver, and a hip quiver. The hip quiver is a conforming figure for Mike/Viki 4, but it can really be used on any figure. The conforming does little more than lock it to the hip. From there, you grab the loop and position it where you want it. The reason I did this is because you can adjust it to just about any clothing, belt, etc. Makes it more diverse that way. The props though, are set up for Mike 4, and Viki 4. They could be adapted easily enough of course. But the back quiver is two separate objects. The strap, which has morphs to adjust it for both Mike and Viki, is separate from the quiver itself. I did this for ease of smart propped arrow bundles. But, it also makes it easy to use with pretty much any figure. There are currently five bows. There is an Asiatic composite horse bow, of which I have posted before. There is an Asiatic recurve, which was common in the Orient. There is the two long bows, the modern and the medieval, seen in this image. And there is also a modern takedown recurve. There are three different arrows as well. There's a modern arrow, which can be textured to have a wood shaft, more traditional looking, or a carbon shaft, more modern sport looking. It comes as two different arrows, one with a modern broadhead, the other with a modern field point. There is a traditional arrow, with a self nock. It comes with a bodkin point, with morphs for two different medieval broadheads. There is a primitive arrow, which looks somewhat more crude than even the traditional one. All arrows have morphs for length, archer's paradox, and helical fletching. Though the traditional arrow has the most morphs, for the point, and girth. There is a morph that thickens it to a medieval war arrow, which were much thicker than a hunting arrow. That medieval butt target there will also be included. Still have some work to do, but it is coming along nice, and getting near the end. Thanks for looking, I know it's been a long while, Cheers Darrin
