Description

Captured 6/5/16 @ 1:20 pm, at the beautiful Huntington Beach Concours d'Elegance held on the beautiful grounds of the Huntington Beach Central Park in beautiful Huntington Beach, California. Best seen via ZOOM. A new one on me! I never knew that this car existed prior to my visit to the auto show. Incidentally, this beauty currently sells for $17,500. The Jordan Motor Car Company was founded in 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio by Edward S. "Ned" Jordan, a former advertising executive from Thomas B. Jeffery Company of Kenosha, Wisconsin. The factory produced what were known as "assembled cars" until 1931, using components from other manufacturers. Jordan cars were noted more for attractive styling than for advanced engineering, although they did bring their share of innovations to the marketplace. Source: Wikipedia free encyclopedia.

Wonderful photos of this gorgeous antique. I didn't now any of the history of the brand either; though I'd say for that price, any who purchase this car might be getting a bargain. I'd have expected it to be worth far more. And though I've heard the name of this car, I don't know if I had ever seen one. It's simply a gorgeous machine.
If I recall correctly from some of the shows we've watched, borrowing parts or shipping chassis off to other builders for various items wasn't too far out of the norm in the early days. Again, if I recall correctly, there was various models built on the same chassis buy outfitted by different coach builders of the day; some which are now more desirable than others.
