Description

I really like this eagle's feather structure and to me it was crying out for something new for me. I have been fooling with Inkscape (an excellent free vector program) and used it to trace vectors over the image. The tracing will be the basis for an Intarsia project that I wish to pursue. The head will be perhaps 15 inches wide from beak to right feathers, but am unsure how much of the bird I wish to attempt. It will be a large project for me regardless, wish me luck!

This Looks Amazing I have been Working for the last month or Two With A WACOM Tablet And COREL Painter Essentials It has a Tracing function But I prefer to Do most Freehand Just to Develop Skills I improve Every Day Every one says that my paintings are Great!Not as Nice as Yours this Vector Program sounds Great I will check it Out! I am Looking to see what You Do Next!

thank you - rest assured it is a photo, with lines drawn over it.. BUT, it WILL be much, much more. The lines will be the outlines of blocks of wood, and the blocks of wood will be sanded, carved, shaped, and stained. And I fully intend to have those blocks of wood look as good as the photo! That is the single biggest plus to doing it this way. Built into the process, I will have a wonderful reference for each block. And the only artistic aspect that I have to contribute will be choosing where the lines go and what the shapes will look like. The rest of it will be boring, and rewarding WORK!! LOL
