Description

Here now is another aspect from the same visit, to that alpine lake in the 'Swiss Alps', where you can almost see the fish are jumpin'... "Summertime and the livin' is easy" [tune in: Ella Fitzgerald]... Priska and I actually drove by car a steep 400 metres, uphill from Appenzell and then walked or should I say climbed by foot another ca. 400 metres [above the Bodensee-level, 868 m] to this magical place, it was a perfect day for us, if I may say so, I loved it ! What a view, so very different from where I am living in Australia... Cheers Brigitte

Wow! This are both gorgeous shots! I've never visited the Swiss Alps; the closest I've ever been is Bavaria many years ago. (I can't really complain, though, since I can see the Sierra Nevada from my bedroom window.)

Yeah, these Swiss landscapes are unreal---it's hard to believe they're as beautiful as they are. This is another shot I was sure I commented on---where was I, I wonder??? It's a splendid shot, with beautiful detail in the trees, grasses, and even in the distant mountains. And the water shimmers with beautiful ripples, and we can even see the stones under the surface. It's gorgeous---boy you should be around mountain landscapes more, you do them beautifully!
