Thanks for all the replies everyone. Mulk and Zana crept behind Joshua, while Melee brought up the rear. They'd already killed fifteen of the security droids, but had yet to come across one of the droidekas. Mulk had run across them numerous times during the course of the Clone War. Both alongside them, when he fought for the CIS, and against them, for those times when he fought for the Republic. And the one feeling he always came away with was the fact that he hated the damned things. Joshua was scanning the last room at the end of the passage they were standing in, to check for droids when a door down an adjoining hall opened. They heard the sounds of more of the droids coming. Mulk ignited his lightsaber as Zana hefted her blaster. Joshua was ready to put away his tricorder when an eyebrow twitched. "We have shields popping up," He told the others. "Five, no seven. Never mind, make that ten." "The droidekas have been activated," Mulk muttered to Kirk. "Problem is, those guys don't have a stun setting on their weapons." At that moment, three droids jumped through the open door. But the Jedi immediately sensed that something was different. The three raised their weapons, and plasma bolts fired from the central barrel. Zana leapt to the side, avoiding a bolt, all the while firing two of her own, hitting a pair of droids in their heads. Mulk batted a bolt back at one droid, taking it down, while throwing another up at the ceiling, taking out a security camera. "Ok!" Zana said in a huff. "Something has changed!" "Yeah!" Melee said as she examined the trio of dead machines. "Why are they now trying to kill us?" "Damn it!" Mulk said, shaking his head in disgust. "There's a control droid here. It's probably overridden Zell's programming." "I hate control droids!" The tall female Mazuran complained. "Those things are a bitch to kill." "I don't know about that," Her husband said with a grin as he held up his lightsaber. "I find that they chop up pretty nicely with one of these." "We have movement on the other side of this wall. Five of them," Joshua warned the others. "There's a hidden door here." "Let's pull back to this corridor," Mulk told them, pointing behind them at the hall where the smoking remains of the three droids lay. "Let's let them come to us. Stay close to the walls, I'm going to need some room." An electric motor hummed as a door was opened. Suddenly five shielded droidekas stepped into view, their blasters turning to fire. Mulk reached out with the Force and snatched two off their feet and hurled them down the corridor, where they were crushed when they slammed into the wall, while Jushua and Melee accelerated and stepped next to the now slow moving droids and thrust their blasters through the shields and fired. As the droids collapsed, Kirk leapt at the last and repeated this process. "Well, hell!" Zana said with a laugh when it was over. "I didn't get one." "Sorry, Buir Zana," Melee said as she nudged her as she walked past to examine the droidekas Mulk had destroyed. "We were having so much fun, we forgot to save you one. We'll let you have the command droid when we find it." "Deni?" Joshua's signal came in over their communicators. "I need you in here. I've been shot," The three spun about as Joshua was removing the breast plate he was wearing. In the back was a smoking hole. Dropping it to the floor, he abruptly sat down. "Peenk is going to be pissed off!" He whispered, a grin on his face. "The last thing she told me before we left was that she'll kick my ass if I get shot." The wounded man's head jerked slightly to the side. Accelerating, he rolled back into the corridor just as a dozen blaster bolts hit where he had been sitting. Mulk ran forward as the command droid stepped into view, it's arm blaster pointing at Kirk where he lay on the floor. When it saw the lightsaber blade, it raised it's arm and fired. The Jedi quickly knocked the plasma bolts aside. And in just a few seconds, the droid lay in pieces at his feet. Kaleena stood in the corridor, standing watch as Ami and Mark lead Baby and Xin in the adjoining room where they were finishing off the last of the droidekas. She was worried about Xin. When Josh sent out the call to Dr Williamson that he'd been shot, the girl had reacted very strongly, wanting to rush to his side. But Commander Wu had insisted that she stay. "All right," Melee said over their link. "That means there was a sensor dampening field up. That must be what happened to the lights. Those things eat up some power." "Well it's down now. "Doctor Williamson said Josh is going to be ok. It seems that the breastplate he wore absorbed most of the energy of the blast. She's taking him out, and they're going to fly him to the hospital." The women now found themselves standing before a blank wall. "How do we get in?" Xin asked. "Like this," Ami said, taking out her filament cutter. And in a couple seconds, the wall was falling inwards, revealing a large chamber. In the center was a large tank. And floating in the tank was Zell. But between them was MU-SO 2, his arm held up, with it's stunner extended. "I cannot permit you remove Master Zell from the tank." "He is not going to be removed him from the tank," Gath Pok said as he gently pushed his way past Xin. "Where'd you come from?" Ami asked as she spun about in surprise. "I didn't hear you arrive."
