In the early light of the morning some of the horror from the night before is revealed, It is true our poor mammoth is deceased and there is only a area of blackened sand where my tent and other property were just last night, All gone now, We are left with only the clothes we are wearing and already it is becoming hot in the morning sun, It will not take too long before the ground will be too hot to stand on in our bare feet, We quickly need to search the area for any clothing or footwear that might have been spared from the events of the night before. We need clothing and footwear or we need to find some shade to protect us from the extreme heat that we will face in the coming hours, Our plan is to turn around and return to a small village that is only two days away by foot, There is no chance of crossing the desert that lays between us and the safety of my home, We would be lucky to survive one day in the desert, No chance of surviving a week. That is our plan then, A quick search of the area to try and find anything that might aid us in our desperate attempt to survive in this hot and harsh landscape ... to be continued.
