I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Now that's what I'm talking about! Lovely old movie poster, with the hero towering over the damsel in distress! Not very "PC" these days, but who cares?
Awesome work indeed...

Thank you. I'm glad you like it. As for being "PC," I wouldn't know about that. The rules keep changing, and its not very healthy for art. I remember Cliff's girlfriend was a real pistol, and I think the lady can wear nice underwear if she wants to, lol.
Anyway, It was fun and I'm starting to dial in the post-work I want to use for a new project. Good fun.

This one is fine as well! Turned out just as fantastic as all the rest! Most impressive and enjoyable variations on a theme! Way to go, my friend! Many happy returns of the day!

Thanks, RRD! Glad to see you, my friend.

I think I like this one the best for the old movie feel, though the colourised one has a lovely effect too.
LyleAryn
Thanks, Alias!

I love both of the b&w versions. I would be hard pressed to say which one I like best as both have an excellent quality about them. Superb work!

Another great B&W....image...my preference is this one over the other....just looks and feels more nostalgic, sort of movie theatre billboard...will we be seeing a selective colour photography version...could be interesting.....quality work again my friend
LyleAryn
Thanks! I really appreciate that!

This fits the mood and genre so perfectly - you really captured the feel of the time and the posters. Excellent!

I saw the color and while both have a place in your gallery, I preferred the color one. But you'll find mixed opinions I am sure. Keep playing with both.

Thanks! For sure. All three have their fans, which I take as meaning that I got three unique styles that are put together decently.
