I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Painting can be very relaxing ...
It can be difficult, as you say, to accept the fact that you are not thought of by others in the same way as you think of them. Some memories will sting for years, but, given time, their effect will gradually fade.

Indeed. I guess I ought to celebrate the fact that I can still feel so deeply for people.
Thanks for the comment!

That must be hours of work, hat.

Thank you. I didn't keep track, but yes. I know it was a goodly amount of time just laying out the stones in the well.

You are really gifted to create something so natural.
LyleAryn
Thank you. Used natural ingredients, so I think that helped.

it's really beautiful

Thank you my friend. Though I think it's time I put together a photo booth.

These are amazing pieces. This is the first time I have really looked at the craftsmanship that goes into this art. It is so tiny and so detailed. I bet the painting and brushes are so fine and take a great deal of time.

Indeed it does. Getting her eyes right was nerve-wracking. I'm still really happy with how she looks, though.

That really looks great! And I can well imagine the time it takes - although it's very satisfying time.. So glad you've started posting these beauties.
I remember as a kid I was absolutely addicted to those plastic models you glued together.... Airplanes, cars, ships, I didn't care... I loved 'em all. I'd spend hours with those little paint bottles and brushes. Don't have any of them, now... They fell by the wayside bit by bit with our frequent moves from place to place. (My dad was in the Air Force for 20 years, and we moved to a new duty location every few years) I guess they've been replaced with 3D Secret Agent Girls... LOL
I have never been a member of any on-line community that comes anywhere close to this one... Folks here on Rendo are AWESOME!

Nice! I have some larger models I need to paint. It's daunting, because I haven't worked in that scale. But... I got a great 72mm model of The Shredder that has been primed for months now. (The Shredder has been my online handle since 1995)

Fantastic job on this! I'm sorry to hear your group didn't survive. Hopefully your next group will last longer.

Thanks! I do as well.
