Description
Starry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and gray
Look out on a summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul
Shadows on the hills
Sketch the trees and the daffodils
Catch the breeze and the winter chills
In colors on the snowy, linen land
Now, I understand what you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now
Starry, starry night
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze
Swirling clouds in violet haze
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue
Colors changing hue
Morning fields of amber grain
Weathered faces lined in pain
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand
Now, I understand, what you tried to say to me
How you suffered for your sanity
How you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now
For they could not love you
But still your love was true
And when no hope was left inside
On that starry, starry night
You took your life as lovers often do
But I could have told you, Vincent
This world was never meant for one
As beautiful as you
Starry, starry night
Portraits hung in empty halls
Frameless heads on nameless walls
With eyes that watch the world and can't forget
Like the strangers that you've met
The ragged men in ragged clothes
The silver thorn of bloody rose
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow
Now, I think I know what you tried to say to me
How you suffered for your sanity
How you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they're not listening still
Perhaps they never will

You did a phenomenal job with this my friend...its almost like you depicted a typical day in Vincent Van Gogh's life! A painter who's view of the world was seen and interpreted through his highly imaginative and artistic flair for art! You choose one of the most famous works by him...this one is world renowned and admired by many, including me! He is someone who's art and style I admire!
This one is my personal favorite and a 10 Platinum star image for sure...I would give you more as this work deserves it, but I am running low on these rare Platinum stars...I need to make a run to the bank for more! You have been creating some amazing art work and I am certain this won't be the last time I give away my Platinum stars to you. This one deserves to be at the top of the art charts...its that good! Congrats on this fine work of art! :-)

Why thank you so much Johnny. I as do many, love Van Gogh"s work. I wanted to pay tribute to one of my favorite works of his. After listening to some classic 70's ballads Don McLean"s song came on and I was taken back at the beautiful lyrics and had to do a scene. I'm just glad you and others like the scene. Thank you so much again. :-)
