F.D.O. - - - Flight Deck Operations A lot going on in the first frame. There are fourteen characters. The captain is in the gondola, two guys in the Blackhawk helo, four green shirts, one red shirt, two Fly Directors ( Fly 1 and Fly 2) plus two Shooters ( D0 and D1 ) and two pilots with Koshini in the plane on the right. I made the aircraft carrier back in 2006. This toon version is a modified version being shorter and with only one gondola on the "island". There are three elevators that go up and down and three jet blast deflectors that raise and lower. The radar antennas rotate and the three Sea Whiz phalanx cannons and the four missile batteries also move in all planes. There is even the Optical Light System to guide pilots when they land on the carrier. It can be seen in the second frame on the port side. The toon aircraft are lower poly ones I bought last Fall and modified them to have moving parts. The Blackhawk was won in a contest years ago. Deck helmets and goggles are mine as well. The only things I did not make were the planes, characters, Koshini and the pilot helmets. The deck crew are a character called"Bloo" which is a low poly toon type and suitable to fill a scene like this. Textures are my own. This almost, I say almost looks like a Disney animated effort... Top Frame: A toon stealth fighter and a J-15 fighter are "on the cat" and soon to be shot off the deck to do a rourtine combat air patrol mission ( CAP ) then return. The helo is referred to as "Angel". It's function is to rescue pilots if things go sideways on cat launches. The other frames are different views. Looks like some animations on the horizon... Work on Part 2 of Wild One continues slowly.
