Description

Created from three of my own photos with a little bit of manipulation in GIMP to composite and more or less match the contrast levels. All three were colour photos, but in the early morning mist they appeared almost monochrome which I loved Second image is simply a greyscale version of the first (GIMP > Image > Mode) Originally a failed entry (#6) in Renderosity's triptych contest some while back. But at least it got me doing something different.

Interesting. I've picked up more detail in second. Probably because eye being drawn to color instead of shapes in first set.

I was amazed at how many different ways there are to desaturate an image, and how different the resulting b+w images look. Some of them did seem to bring out more detail than others, but I can't rememner which one I used.

I once spent a whole weekend, on 1 Apophysis image, messing around the same way.
