How to subdue a troll:
Sneak up behind him while the little fellas are keeping him busy, and then subject him to a barrage of mockery.
The little fellas are argumentative and have annoying high pitched squeaky voices, like Pinky and Perky. They're very good at distracting trolls.
Sir Smuggley Smuggins (trollcatcher extraordinaire) has a plummy, fruity voice, and is a master of troll-mockery, "By Jiminy, you're an ugly troll, aren't you ? Give you extra servings of the ugly pie, did they ?" Etc.
But something unexpected happened...
Sir Smuggley Smuggins can also rustle up a rather lovely pot of tea
