Description
So ... APlusDesign recently posted a Dream Home challenge. I've been dreaming about this home since I was a teenager.
Picture this. A quiet, serene opening in a mountain forest, up in the Green Mountains of Vermont. The clearing is nestled amongst a forest of pine, oak, and birch trees. You're relaxed by the soothing sounds of water flowing in a nearby stream, dancing its way past the rocks. The colors of the sunset are enhanced by the vivid yellows, oranges, and reds of the New England fall foliage.
The perfect setting for a rustic log cabin, which feels right at home with the pine and oak trees. Inside, the walls and floors are further enhanced by the natural woods surrounding the cabin. Furnishings made of knotty pine. Solid and majestic oak wood floors. Handmade quilts on the beds, A massive stone fireplace with a fire burning bright. And candles. Good old Yankee candles that sweeten the air with their subtle fragrances. A crockpot filled with mulled cranberry-apple cider to warm your innards. Peaceful, quiet rest.
This is the vision I've had in my head since I was a teen, many many years ago. I took that dream vision into Playground AI to bring it to life, with final color adjustments in Photoshop. It's pretty close to what I've always envisioned. But now, my very age-worn knees cry at the thought of walking that terrain. So, this image remains my dream. You're welcome to visit any time.

And a beautiful dream it is, too. :-)

Of all the places I've travelled through, Vermont calls to me the most. (Sigh) ... in my dreams 8-)

You don't have to give up on your dream!! You absolutely need to level some land around the house and maybe build a driveway with a handrail for a little walk further inside. For the steps to go down to the river, just install a stair lift. I love your house and the description you gave, made me experience it. A fantastic experience!!!
