About me? Well, I went to college, then university and business school and graduated in computer science. I have been employed in a number software companies in different roles (system developer, pre-sales consultant, Technical account manager, engagement manager, test specialist, testcoordinator, teacher / instructor) and have worked professionally with 3D graphics doing both animations, marketing material and product vizualisations for different companies. My focus area for the last couple of years have been Quality Management and Test. I enjoy computer graphics and photography as a hobby. Take care Lars Bjorstrup

This is the kind of 3d I always wanted to do. Thank you for showing us the process!
Xlars
mss: Thank you very much for your kind words, somehow showing the process is just as fun for me as making the picture. Your words makes we want to get back and do some more 3d again (I feel like this was made yesterday, and then looking at the year I can see it is already a long time ago - how time flies).

I love Escher too! This is cool! I love the fish's face and the wavy effect that shows up really nicely on his eyes. Thanks for showing how it was done. I know next to nothing about rendering and it is interesting to see. Excellent painted textures and great image!
Xlars
Thank you very much myrrhluz for your wonderful comment on this (one of my previous Terragen) images. I am so glad that you mention the wavy effect on the eyes, it is not as Escher made it but you are right that this is what I attempted to create back then. Also glad to hear that you enjoyed my brief explanation of the creation process, I really enjoy that process - and compiling it all in the end :)

Hey buddy, Thanks for the comments on my gallery. Nice work with the fish. Very realistic I think. I plan to update my gallery tonight. Later.

Thanks squidye for your comment on this old Terragen image. I guess someting like this can be made much easier today with next generation Terragen (version 2) but I have not tried that. Take care
